The Wawel is the city’s number one tourist attraction and Europe's most spectacular medieval castle. The monument simply cannot be overlooked in Krakow.See the most important hill in Poland and learn about the history of Poland. The tour takes 1.5 hours and is a leisurely guided walk up the Wawel Hill. After the walk, you can continue exploring the Cathedral or Wawel Castle. Our guide will pick you up from a pre-arranged location. You will walk along the oldest street in Krakow, passing to the most expensive hotel in the city, and after 5 minutes you will arrive at the bottom of the Wawel Hill, on which the most important history of Poland took place. To go up the hill, we go through two castle gates. When you pass the gates, you will learn the history of the founders of the castle reconstruction and you will see the rock on which the castle was built. We will stop in front of the entrance to the Wawel Cathedral to hear the legend of the Wawel dragon bones and recognize the individual styles of architecture in which the cathedral was built. In this part of our trip, you will learn why Poland is so attached to religion and conservatism. The second part of visiting the hill is devoted to the history of Poland and its rulers. You will learn which of the Polish kings blew up the castle and which was the murderer. We will visit the Renaissance arcaded courtyard considered the most beautiful in Poland. The guide will show you the place of power where the energy stone, the so-called Wawel Chakra, is hidden and where the only one bomb was raided on Krakow during World War II. We will go towards the fortifications of the castle from where you will admire one of the most beautiful panoramas of Krakow and, weather permitting, also Polish Tatra mountains. At this beautiful place, we will end our tour, and you can continue exploring the castle further. Our trip is a pleasant walk with a local guide around the most important historical place in Poland. We recommend it for everyone. Redeem informationVoucher type: E-VoucherE-voucher.
