Visit the Cathedral of Split, a beautiful ancient octagonal building that was built as a mausoleum for Diocletian. Admire how it is still encircled by 24 of the original columns. Contemplate the marvelous Mestrovic Gallery, a beautiful collection of artist Ivan Mestrovic’s works including sculptures, drawings architecture and furniture. The building itself is a work of art and was built based upon Mestrovic’s original designs. Spot the extremely Italian influenced square, Prokurative, built in the 19th Century by Antonio Bajamonti to remind him of his home in Venice. After the walking tour, we’ll proceed to drive back to Dubrovnik but not before we make a lovely stop to purchase local, organic produce such as honey and mandarins.
