The ancient Roman town and its inhabitants were buried by a blanket of ash and pumice from the devastating eruption of the Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. But with thanks to successful archaeological works, today you can admire some of the city´s most important buildings such as the Stabian Baths, the Forum, the theatre areas, the House of the Faun, the House of the Tragic Poet and the brothel. The standard walk in the archaeological excavations takes about 2 hours. IMPORTANT NOTE Between November and March, if the group does not reach the minimum of 6 participants the local guide in Pompeii will be replaced by audioguide.
