We start at Cancun where after a safety briefing you'll board your own wave-runner or a two-man speedboat. From there it's time to head out from the marina into the Nichupte Lagoon. We'll speed across the lagoon through dense mangroves heading for Punta Nizuc. This protected nature reserve is the home of the Nizuc Coral Reef, the second largest coral reef in the world and runs parallel to the Eastern coast of the Yucatan peninsula.
We'll stop here for 45 minutes. You shouldn't miss the opportunity to go snorkelling in pristine turquoise waters amidst the living coral and teeming shoals of colourful tropical fish. You'll see barracudas, turtles, eels, rays and occasionally a nurse shark or two. Or if you wish you can just stay on the boat and relax in the sun.
