Krka National Park Tour with a local guide and wine tasting from Split

If you have a couple of days in the Split, this could be a trip that you are looking for. Krka NP is one of two Croatian NP`s that contain lakes and waterfalls. The summary would be: A total of 5hrs inside of the Krka NP at two locations with exceptional views and scenery, boat ride, swimming inside of the Krka River and an extra visit to local family food and wine tavern (agrotourism). We are taking you to 2 locations of exceptional natural value inside of the NP with an included boat ride down the river canyon. But let`s start with the plan. Enjoy a 1 hour and a 30-minute drive to Entrance Lozovac as this is the best place to start the 2km walk around the Skradinski Buk waterfall (Relaxing walk downhill as the views are building up). Pass through the old water mill system as our guide explains part of the history and traditions in this area. Then continue this amazing walk on the wooden pathway with little lakes and waterfalls everywhere around. This truly is one of the most preserved ecosystems in Croatia. After 2h30 minutes at Skradinski Buk, we continue our journey with a boat ride down the river canyon to our second location inside of the NP, the lovely little town of Skradin. In this lower part of the stream, we have an opportunity during the hot summer days to cool down with a nice swim inside of the Krka River. And last but not least a special surprise for those who love some good local food and wine. Only a 10-minute drive from our swimming spot we have a little village called Plastovo known for a few beautiful local family foods and wine stops. Let`s go for some wine tasting (included), learn about its production and history, and if you decide to taste some of the local specialities that the family offers. A relaxing day outside of the city that everyone will enjoy. We finish our day with a drive on the highway back to Split.
