Next, climb Montjuic Mountain and enjoy the great views over the city and harbour and admire the spectacular sports facilities in the Olympic Ring. The final visit of the morning is to Poble Espanyol, a charming collection of replicas of buildings, streets and plazas from all over Spain, which allows you to discover the best of the country’s architectural heritage without leaving Barcelona. The village also has many crafts shops and some excellent restaurants and bars. In the afternoon, drive through rolling countryside and past remote villages towards Montserrat. Climb the mountain in the famous rack railway. Visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, which houses the 12th century carving of La Moreneta, the Black Virgin.
