On arrival you will be greeted by your welcoming hosts and invited into their home. While dinner is being prepared you will learn all about Indian lifestyle, the traditions of home life, the importance of family – and, of course, food! Dine on a traditional Indian home-cooked meal which will be predominantly vegetarian and sure to tantalize your taste buds like no other. Your hosts and guide will be more than happy to tell you all about the dishes they have prepared, the ingredients and how they are made. You can choose to eat with your hands Indian style, but cutlery is also available should you so desire. At the end of the meal it's time to enjoy a glass of aromatic chai masala. As alcohol is not part of everyday life of an Indian family, it will not be served with the meal. After saying thank you and goodbye to your hosts, your local guide will arrange for you to get a taxi back to the hotel. This late afternoon/evening excursion takes between four to five hours. Meeting/pick-up point: Hotel Jivitesh Lobby, 11, Pusa Road, Opposite Metro Pillar 87, New Delhi (India). Duration: 4-5 hours. Pick-up time: 3pm. Opening/ Start time: Between 3pm and 4pm. Drop-off location: After saying thank you and goodbye to our hosts, our local guide will assist with getting a taxi back to our hotel. End/closing time: Between 7pm and 8pm. Others: Dress standards are conservative throughout Asia, especially outside major cities. To respect this and for your own comfort, we strongly recommend modest clothing. This means clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Loose, lightweight, long clothing is both respectful and cool in the predominantly hot Asian climate.
