Of all the 13 imperial tombs in Ming Dynasty ( 1368 - 1644 ), only two are open to the public: Changling and Zhaoling ("ling" literally means "Tomb" in Chinese). Only Changling has been excavated. Driving to visit the Ming Tombs where lie the mausoleums of thirteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Changling Tomb, mausoleum of the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty Zhu Di, is the best preserved tomb area with the most emperors buried. Every year millions of tourists come to the site to appreciate its long history and palatial architecture. In the morning, you will visit the Changling Tomb. Next, enjoy lunch at local restaurant, where you will also get to see the unique carving craft at Jade Carving Artistic Center and learn about Chinese traditional tea culture at a local tea house. Later continue to the the Mutianyu Section of the Great Wall, famous for breath‐takingly beautiful scenery. Take a stroll and admire the vistas of the the natural scenery surrounding the wall. Whether you chose to visit in spring, summer, autumn or winter you are bound to be left in awe by the sheer magnificence of the site.
