There’s a lot to see here: the Grace Cathedral, The Fairmont, the Mark Hopkins hotels and the Pacific Union Club. We get a close-up look at Chinatown and its vibrant and buzzing street life. Sometimes the traffic is crazy, but we know the best ways through it.
See North Beach, the Italian neighborhood of San Francisco. You will see Little Italy cafes, Washington Square Park, St. Peter & Paul Church, Telegraph Hill and Coit Tower. Jump off and grab a bite to eat here if you fancy it! Or carry on with the tour and get dropped back at your hotel.
You can pick between Alcatraz or a visit at Muir Woods National Monument: If you have booked your Bay In a Day with Alcatraz, we will drop you off at Pier 33 and you will board a ferry to Alcatraz Island. Your Alcatraz Tour begins with a 45 minute audio presentation "Doing Time: The Alcatraz Cellhouse Tour," featuring recordings of actual guards and inmates who lived and worked on the Island. Once your Alcatraz Audio Tour is finished, explore Alcatraz Island as long want on your own, but don’t forget that you have to get the ferry back to San Francisco when all is said and done!
On the other hand, you can book your Bay In a Day tour with a visit to Muir Woods where you'll sit back and relax as we go along to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area where the Giant Sequoias of Muir Woods await you. Hug a tree and switch off your mind! On the way back, we will make a stop in the (usually) sunny, sea-side community of Sausalito.

For our Muir Woods National Monument visitors, you have the chance to grab lunch in Sausalito! It is probably the best choice for lunch. We suggest picking a windowside table so you can make the most of the views and then head back to San Francisco and start the city leg of the tour.
For our Alcatraz Visitors, you will have time to grab some lunch along the waterfront after the Alcatraz tour.
